It’s not about the destination; it’s about the journey on training runs



A very clever person once said “It’s not about the destination; its about the journey. " A recent week of training reminded us of this. Monday morning runners of saw the most amazing sunrise on the boardwalk. Friday they stopped to admire two schools of dolphins playing in the waves. Saturday morning we were out at Holla Trails and was once again reminded how fortunate we are to have such a beautiful running playground.


Morning runs take place  from the Salt Rock Country Club at 5am, routes vary. Please feel welcome to join. I often hear people say they are waiting until they get fitter. Don’t wait. Come and join in and your fitness will rapidly improve, as will you motivation levels. There is a faster group that runs at between 5 and 6 mins/km and then another group that runs at between 6 and 7mins/km. There is also an improving group that is for beginners.

Please feel welcome, especially if you are trying to achieve a goal like your first race, a marathon and especially Comrades.
